Tiltshift Photography

Tiltshifting is a way of taking a photograph so that it looks like a miniature. It's to do with tilting the lens and adjusting your depth of field. Or, like I do, you just go to www.tiltshiftmaker.com, upload your photographs and have the software do it for you! Yay! This is what happened to my pictures of Maesteg in South Wales and various locations in Cornwall (you can click on all the pictures to make the bigger):

Wow, you got some super effects with your photos! I have been less successful with this because my photography style is to get close to my subjects. So tilt-shifting doesn't work at all. I need to shoot more landscapes...

Hi Peevish - it's actually quite hard to find photos that work really well. Stuff with lots of detail going across the middle of the pic seem to work quite well but it's fun experimenting.
